West Tamaki, 7th April, 1906. , Messrs SHARLAND k CO., Ltd., Auckland. "TvEAR SIRS,— L* I have pleasure in reporting on the use of your POTATO BLIGHT EXTERMINATOR. I used the preparation practically in accordance with the directions on the package, first of all steeping tho potatoes in the liquid for 24 hours on the lines suggested in your directions— afterwards placing in the sum to thoroughly dry, prior to planting. I planted in tihe ordinary way with the addition of a litle lime in the drill— about scwt to the acre. When the shoots showed about 2_ to 3 inches above the ground, I gave them a . complete spraying in accordance with your i directions. When they were 12 \ inches high I sprayed again, or wihen any indication of the blight showed upon the stalks. The whole of my crop has turned out perfectly sound and satisfactory, although many of my neighbors who have not used this preparation have lost tihe whole of. their crops ; but those who used your preparation according to the proper directions have saved their crops, with good results. I am satisfied that this preparation is an exterminator of the blight, and at the same time it increases the yield of the potatoes to a considerable extent. It is noticeable especially in regard to the improved flavor of tne potatoes. Previous to this preparation having been brought before my notice I had used tho Bordeaux Mixture, but the results were very unsatisfactory. I have also used your POTATO BLIGHT EXTERMINATOR for blight in cauliflower, cabbage, and turnips, and have had splendid results, Yours faithfully, (Signed) J. PILKINGTON. Mr John Pilkington is a large grower of potatoes and well-known throughout New Zealand as ap authority oh potatogrowing and other branches of farming. PASPALUM DIUJATUM SEED. T7IARMERS and Squatters when order--51 ing their G_ass-s?_d Mixture, should be sure to stipulate for a portion of Seccombe's Famous Hand-shaken PASPALUM SEED This grass is proved in many New Zealand districts as more valuable than cocksfoot for bush country, gives richer pasture and more of it, besides being absolutely permanent in the around. Add 21bs to all mixtures if possible. BE SURE AND ASK FOR "SECCOMBE'S." Other brands often lead tp disappointment. W. SECCOMBE, 905 Coff's Harbor, N.S.W.
