SUCCESS OF A FRENCH AIRSHIP. PARIS, November 24. The French airship La Patrie made a six and three-quarter hours' ascent, covering 269 kilometres. She steered' back to Paris after a record run, sometimes attaining a speed of 30 milee an hour. November 25. The La Patrie, with a crew of five, left Chalais-Meudon a little before 9 a.m. and reached Verdun at a quarter to 4 p.m. without replenishing her supply of hydrogen. Immense enthusiasm was displayed at the success of the airship.
