CAPETOWN, March 19. Advocates of the importation of Indiat, coolies for South Africa propose to emploj" them on railway construction, thus releas< ing the Kaffirs for the mines. The decision of the Supreme Court of th«; Transvaal Colony in May, 1904, redressed the grievances emphasised by the Indian Government regarding the status of Indians in the Transvaal when their importation ' was mooted in 1903.
LONDON, March 19. The British South Africa Company . reports that for the year ended March, 1905, the expenditure was £898,748 and the revenue £641,342. For the year endi ing with the present month the expenditure is estimated at £772,655 and th« revenue at £681,484. "*
