CANTERBURY JOCKEY CLUB-
fA. copy of the Canterbury Jockey Club's annual report and balance sheet is to hand, and the club's committee report that the meetings held by the club during tho present season have been very successful. The iclub has purchased suitable freehold offices >and the business of the club will thortly be transacted there. The excessive tenders for the erection of a grand stand |have caused the committee to that .•work for the present, but it is intended to lhave a water supply laid on for use on the draining and racing tracks.
