BURNSIDE STOCK SALE.
Dunedin, Wednesday. Fat Cattle. — 156 yarded, very few of which were of prime quality. The tale opened easier than last week's, and prices remained lower by about 10s a head. Best bullocks £9 to £10 good £9 15s to £10 ] ss, light and medium £8 15s, to £9 10s, best cows £9 to £11 2s 6d, medium £7 to £8 ss, light £5 10s. Fat Shet-p.— 2890 penned. The majority forwrrd were ewes, there beiug very few pens of prime wethers. Wethers fully held their own as compared with last week, but ewea dropped from Is to la 6d all round. Best wethers 17« to 18s, extra 24s medium 15s to 17s, pr.me ewes 14s to 16s 6d, medium 12s to 13s, light 11s to 12s. S Fat Lambs. — 1200' penned, the quality being very good, There were too many forward for local butchers, but an exporter stepped m and stopped a heavy decliue. Best 13s lo 14s, medium 11s to 12s inferior 9s to 10s. Pigs.— lßo yarded. Prices were much the same as last, week ; little demand for store lines. Suckers 3s tid to 6s 6d, slips 11b 6d to 14s 6d, stores 18s to 21s, porkers 26s to 325, light baconers 38s to 425, heavy 43s to 50s.
