Builders' Conference.

The delegates, representing about 800 builders m the colony, who held their annual meeting at Timaru, on 26th inst, have been engaged m con* ference'with delegates from the recently formed Institute of Architects practising m New Zealand. The principal business, has been the consideration of new conditions of contract. The result is that new conditions of contract have been agreed to by both sides, and these willbe brought into use not later than December Ist next. This means that the deadlock between architects and builders is now at an end, and a very large amount of building work that has been delayed for sobae time, will be immediately available.^ The next annual builders' conference will be held at Wanganui.
