Dwnlord was similarly treated £or a liko offence Hugh Thomas Stoddart appeared on remand on this charge, and was convicted and ordered to pay 10s medical expenses. Threatening Behaviour.—Emmett Hussey and Horace .bollard were each charged witu using threatening behaviour in Rattray street on February 20.—Hussey did not ap"pear, and after hearing the evidence of the two coneba-blcs, the Magistrate imposed a fine of 2(te on each, with the alternative of three days' imprisonment. Angus Pollock and Alfred M'Farlane pleaded "Guilty" to a charge of assaulting James Barclay in Walker street on I'ebruary 15, and "Not guilty" to using threatening behaviour in St. Andrew ttrert on the same ekitc.—Each accused was sentenced to two months' imprisonment on the first charge, mid on the eecond they '.vere each fined £2 with casts (9s), in default one month's imprisonment. By-law Cases.—John Gilespie, Robert Lawrie, and Reginald Tonkinson were each c ned ss, without costs, for riding bicycles .rviliwt having them litted with alarm \i_olte, unci for a similar offence Percy Fifiold, ifyc. jfd n ot appear, was lfe, with j-osie (7s). For driving a motor cur without a light along George street, on January 27, Hector M'Beath was fined ss, with costs (7 S ). For a like offence in Maclaggan street, on February 12, Chnrlos Allan was fined l(te, with eoste (7s). Christopher Moore was lined 10s. with c-f*ts (7s). for riding a motor bicycle at a =peed prreater than four miles an hour. James Ilornell. for allowing a horfo to wander in I,:irkworthy street. St. Kilda. on February 10. was fined sp, witti oo«t s (7s). Jolin O'Gorman wa« fined 10s. wil.h costs (7.=), for bein.i drunk while in charge of a horse, on the Rnvembourno road. Prohibited. —A -prnhiKtion order wtis grantrrl against a man on the application of his wife.
