OPPERMAN SCORLS

The Dunlop cycling Grand Prix, the greatest cycling race m the British Empire, over a distance of six hundred and ninety and a-half miles, finished on Saturday m Melbourne. TT was won by Hubert Opperman, twenty-three years of age. Opperman was one hour ahead of Harry Watson, the New Zealander, and Ern.Bainbridge of Victoria. Opperman covered the last stage from "Warrnambool to Melbourne — one hundred and sixty-five miles—in eight hours, fourteen minutes and fifty seconds. He was fresh and full of vigor. The New Zealand team, which comprised li. Watson and W. 'Ronnie, who finished fifth, won the special teams' prize of sixty pounds. v
