Poor Field In Hurdles With only eight acceptors, speculation will not be very keen m the Hack Hurdles at Otaki to-morrow. fN his own track, Peshwa, which, has been there or thereabouts for the last three months, will probably be the favorite. He is not much to look at, but Higgott has a way with such horses. Vexatious only a little while back was flying for higher game and just missing. Her two Trentham thirds to good horses should not be forgotten. However, she generally manages to arrive on the scene when the race is over. Bevis, Benmure and Elysianor have yet to show that they are the right quality. The same possibly applies to Patuki, but at Hastings last week he went fairly well, though he did not jump like a, National winner. But still, the promise was there.
