One "Marty" Farrell is the latest middle-weight hope of America. He has been reckoned as the nearest thing to Mike Gibbon. ' Now that the strike is over m Sydney, we can look forward to more regular news, and the possibility of the cracks getting busy again. Greymouth has all the luck. Denny Murphy and Frank Gi%ffen meet there on October 27 for the middle-weight championship of New Zealand. Tommy Gibbons (Mike Gibbons's little brother) put it all over George Chip m a 10-round go at St. Paul, Minn., towards the end of last August. Says a 'Frisco writer: Usually, when a minister gets into a fight with a pugilist, the minister wins — according to the newspapers. Lindwall Is a Sydney boxer of some note, who came over from New South Wales on a health-recruiting mission, and liked the place so much that he remained here. He bears good credentials, and the possibility of him being matched with the winner of the Murphy-Griffen bout should, appeal tp any Assqciatiqri which is alive.
