Bland Holt's Dramatic Co.

On Monday evening next at the Opera House Mr Bland Holt's dramatic organisation, which has just concluded a most successful tour of New Zealand, will begin a farewell season and when, by speciafl request, the spectacular Drury Lane drama, "The White Heather" will be produced. It's many years since "Truth" sa-vr this drama, at the Theatre Koyal, Sydney, but the vividness of' the play will live for ever. Indeed, it is one of the finest dramas ever yet staged, particularly so, from a spectacular point of view. "The White Heather" is one of the most popular plays m Mr Holt's repertoire and is a universal favorite. The scenery is from the brush of Mr Jolrn Brunton, and one of the tableaux is the duel between divers on the bed of the ocean. The season is a limited one, but "Truth" has no doubt whatever that the evergreen Bland Holt and his carefully-selected company will nightly play to very large houses.

About the computer-generated text

Optical Character Recognition (OCR) is a process for automatically extracting text from scanned pages. OCR enables searching of large quantities of full-text data, but it is not 100% accurate. The level of accuracy depends on the print quality of the original newspaper and its condition at the time of microfilming. Newspapers with poor quality paper, small print, mixed fonts, multiple column layouts or damaged pages may have poor OCR accuracy.

The page where this item appears has an estimated OCR accuracy of 93.76%.
