The Tuapeka Times reports the death of a higjhlyrespected Catholic resident of Tuapeka West in the person of Mrs. Elizabeth Duffy, wife of Mr. P. Duffy, who passed away on September 21 at the age of 74 yelars. The deceased was one of the hist settlers at Tuapeka Mouth, where she was held in the greatest esteem by all her neighbors.
