The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company report as follows :—: — Sheepskins — Prices unchanged, best dry crossbreds fetching 4d to 4^d ; medium, 2d to 3}d ; dry merino, 2d to 4}d per lb ; green crossbred pelts, Is 3d to Is Ud ; extra large, Is lid to 2s ; green lambskins, Is 3d to 2s each. Rabbitskins — Medium sorts are fetching Gd to 9]d ; inferior to medium, l^d to 3d per lb.
Hides — No change, best fetch 3d to 3Jd ; medium, 2d to 2Jd inferior and light, Id to lfd per lb.
Tallow and Fat — Broken packages from the country best rendered fetch, 13s to lls; medium, 10s to 12s 6d ; best mutton caul fat, 9s Gd to 10s ; medium, 8s 9d to i)s 3d ; inferior, 8s to 8s 6d per cwt (ex store, net).
Messrs. Stkonach Bros, and Morris report as follows :— Rabbitskins — Very few of these are coming 1 to hand at present, but all offering meet with keen competition, best sorts selling at up to lid per lb. Sheepskins — We offered a large catalogue yesterday, when there was keen competition and prices were very firm. Wool — We will hold a sale about the end of this month to clear up the stragglers, etc. Any small lots offering at present meet with very keen competition. Hides — Market firm. Prime heavy ox, 3{-d to 3ijd ; medium, 2£d to 3d ; light and inferior, ljd to 2jd per lb. TalLOW — Market unchanged. Best rendered miitton, 12s (kl to 14s ; medium, lls to 12s ; rough fat, 8s to 10s p r cwt.
