Store Sheep— A good demand exists, pearly all sorts meeting very full prices. Tbe continuation of moist showery weather guaranteeing an abundance of feed encourages buyers to operate even at prices which may not leave much of a margin. A considerable number change hands. Wool— The fourth series of local auctions was held on the 11th inst. Competition was fairly acive up to prices showing a decline of $d to Id per lb on those ruling for similar wools at the last sales. Sheepskins A good demand coutinnes to be experienced for both dry and green skins. The latter are beginning to show some improvement in the growth of wool, in consequent prices are slightly hardening. Green skins had the most attention, more especially lambskins which were in gond request. Country dry ciofsbreds low to medium, brought Is 6d to 3i 31 do do merino, Is 4d to 2s 71 full-woolled crossbreds, 3a lOd to 6s 9d do do merino, 3s to 5g 3d dry pelts, 2d to Is 21. GreeD crossbred pelts best, Is 9d to 2> medium to good, Is 5d to Is BJ. Green lambskins, best, Is 9d to 2s medium, Is 5d to Is Bd, Rabbitpkins—The market in the meantime is bare of supplies and the only busintes passing is confined to the disposal of the few summer skins coming forward. Good summer and soring skiDs tetch 7d to lOd inferior to medium, 4d to 6d suckers, l£d to 3d per lb. Hides The market for these remains unchanged and supplies are equal to requirements. Tallow— Market quiet, but steady, and no change to nr>te in either demand or values. Potatoes Consignments havp been fewer during the past week in consequence prices have slightly improved, and for prime and fresh-dug, 45s to 50s inferior or medium are difficnlt to pace at any price. Chaff The fupply during the past week has been more than ample for present requirements, and the result a fur her drop in prices, best bring now only worth 55s to GCh p°i ton. Chaff Large supplies to hand this week. Prices lower by 7s 61 to 10s per ton. Bist is worth 57a 6d to 62s 6d inferior to medium, 35s (o 55s per ton.
