MERCER STATION.
TO THE EDITOK. , Sir, — is now over two months since the Mercer railway station was burned down, and nothing 1 lias been done for the public don-, venionco. Persons requiring' a cup of tea or a sandwich are compelled to take the same on tho public street in all weathers. I would suggest that refreshment cars be put on the trains, the same as ill the South, until such time as the public refreshment-rooms are rebuilt. v To compel women and children requiring light refreshments to go to the hotel is not right. Everyone cannot afford hotel expenses when travelling'.— am, etc., Cxias. Gumming. Miranda, February 4, 1901.
