Commencing WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 21. Terminating WEDNESDAY,. SEPTEMBER C:.th. Ist Prize, Thirty Shillings. 2nd Prize, Twenty Shillings 3rd Prize, Ten Shillings. CONDITIONS. The Competition is by PHOTOGRAPH ONLY. Competitors are not required to appear in public. 1. The competition will be open to any lady over 15 years residing in the Nelson District, who may desire to enter, Free of Charge. 2. The Judging, which will be by vote of the audiences attending the Theatre Royal during the week commencing Wednesday, Sept. 21st, and ending Sept. 28th, will be on the " photographs of the competitors. 3. Each photograph intended for competition, accompanied by name or nom de plume of the competitor, must be sent in addressed, "The Manager Beauty Competition," Theatre Royal, not later than noon of Saturday, Sept. 17th. 4. There is no restriction as to costume, this being left to the discretion of the competitor. 5. The photographs will be legibly numbered and will be exhibited on the screen during the programme of Hayward's Pictures every evening, during the week, from Sept. 21st to Sept. 28th. 6. Every patron to the dress circle or stalls during the week will be given a voting paper. These papers are to be placed into boxes provided for the purpose, and will be counted by a special auditor. The numbers recorded each night will be shown on the screen each succeeding evening until Sept. 28th, when the' total will be made up, the winners announced, and the prizes distributed. The wining photographs will be despatched to the English illustrated papers for reproduction os types of New Zealand beauty.
