Two men shot 'Sergeant King dead at Castlevea while he was walking to the barracks. •Private Letter, who was walkingunarmed. was also shot dead at Doneraile. Armed and masked men draggedJohn Poynton from his bed and shot him dead at iPort-arlington. The tension continues in Belfast. Rioting was renewed at 11 o'clock this morning, an hour before the truce operated. A number of attacks were made upon the (police. • 'Sinn iFeincrs also firecT upon an ■Orange procession, which returned the fire. Snipers were active, six persons being sent to hospitals. '.Sinn 'Feiners attacked a police bread van, severely heat the driver, and burned the van. The week-end deaths now number IS and the wounded -total 100. On the eve of the truce, at Castle Isl'ar.d, near Tralee. a pitched battle took place between a military patrol and Republicans, resulting in 31 being killed and many wounded. —A. and N.Z. A QUIET NI'G«T. HARMLESS 'SHOOTING. (Received 10.10 a.m.) LONDON, July 12. The night passed fairly quietly in Belfast. There were a couple of bursts of shooting, but ncibody was hurt.
