THE LATE MRS MOODY

RESUME OF HER LIFE

i Mrs T. P. Moody, whose death was recorded on Monday, was <t)he widow of the late Thomas Pearson Moody, the eminent mining lemjgtoeer. She camie to New Zealand wiith her husband and uncle, the late R. W. Moody, of Auckland, and resided in Auckland till l<Bl6lß, when they left for Ntvw South Wales. After residing, in Queensland and Waratah up .to 1878 they neturned ,to New Zealand, when Mr Moody was 'appointed manager of the Bay of Islands colliery. They remained there 16 years and thten. •came to Wlhangareii, Mr Moody taking change of the Hikuranlgi coMflery, 'and had resided hene ever since. • Mrs Moody was of a quiet retihring nature and devoted herself to hex home and family of nine. The deceased lady had been in bad health for some time and passed j peacefully away after a very painful \ illness and was interred in the beautiful little iKamo cemetery beside her husband and son. One daughter predeceased ' her some years ago, and five daughters •and two sons remain to mourn their great doss. The some are: Mr W. li. J. Moody, Whangarei, and Mr J. H.
