TE KUITI RAILWAY STATION.

Recently a deputation from Te Kuiti waited upon the Minister for Railways and urged that certain improvements should be undertaken at the railway station. The memebr for the district (Mr Jennings) has now been informed that the sum of either £2000 or .£4OOO will be spent on the work this year, the amount depending on the expenditure which is found to be necessary on other stations on the North Island Main Trunk line, particularly in the King Country- If the larger sum is voted, the full improvements asked for by the deputation can be carried out.
