While the Christian principle was active in abolishing slavery, capitalism succeeded in re-establishing the Christian abolitoiuista of black slavery. At present it owns the earth, thte land,, the products thereof, the machines wbicli provide food, clothing, shelter religion and education on their material side, the transportation to market, the market, the legislatures and laws, the officials of government, occasionally the government, the printing press, the universities, not a lew of the churches and the means to create, control or .suppress public opinion. All that the human race has struggled for these innumerable centuries is now owned, directed, used and abused by tho demon —capitalism.
