HARD TIMES PUDDING.
Take- four slices of brend buttered. Unirer ibe nuddin,-; dish and lay the broad in, then beat together die-third of a cup iof sitgar, ope egg, foiir tablespoons of treacle, and three nips of milk and pour over the buttered bread. Lot ji; stand about- an hour, or perhaps less would do, then bako'in a slow ovor for about an hour and a' half.*
