England to New Zealand.

THANKS FROM THE MIBBES HARTLEY. Cunliffe House. Esholt. Shipley, September 5, 1912. Dear Sir, —May we be allowed a short epaoe in your columns to say a few worde to the comrades in New Zealand? Now a year has passed since father and mother left Encrknd for New Zealand, we are eagerly lookbg forward to their return. What a wrench it waa when we lent them to you, even for a year, can better be imagined by those .who know us intimately than described. However, we realised it was only one of the sacrifices we Socialists are called upon to make, and so we bore it as cheerfully as we could. As it is impossible to thank individually aIJ the good comrades who hare so kindly provided hospitality and welcome for our parents, we wish, through jour columns, to tender our sincere gratitude and thanks to them all. Almost every letter we have received has told of the great kindness of comrades everywhere, and has helped us all to bear the separation more easily.— With fraternal greetings, DORA, GERTRUDE AND LENA HARTLEY.

About the computer-generated text

Optical Character Recognition (OCR) is a process for automatically extracting text from scanned pages. OCR enables searching of large quantities of full-text data, but it is not 100% accurate. The level of accuracy depends on the print quality of the original newspaper and its condition at the time of microfilming. Newspapers with poor quality paper, small print, mixed fonts, multiple column layouts or damaged pages may have poor OCR accuracy.

The page where this item appears has an estimated OCR accuracy of 98.12%.
