What Russia Demanded.
Tewflk Pasha Alarmed. Eeceived August 21, 11.15 p.m. London, Yesterday. Router's agency reports that M. Zinovieff demanded, in addition to recent domands for the reinstatement of officials unjustly dismissed, the liberation of Macedonians accused of furnishing the Consuls with information inv respect to the state of the country, and an exhaustive enquiry to determine whether M. Koskovsky's death was pre-arranged (inasmuch as his carriage was fired at s when re-entering the town). j Beuter also states that M. Zinovieff explained that the despath of the squadron did. not imply hostility to Turkey, but was a; demonstration intended to hasten the acceptance and application of Russian demands. Tewfik Pasha, -Minister of Foreign Affairs, accepted, all demands, and begged for the withdrawal of the squadron.
