SCHOOL ATTENDANCE.

(Pei: Press Association) Wajtcanui, October 24. A to'al of 139 informations against parents for failing to send their children to school were heard before the Court to-day.

In most cases the children were kept at home in consequent of illness, but as the parents failed'to obtain an exemtion certificate the Magistrate had no option but to fine. He expressed the opinion that the law needed amendment.
