At the Committee meeting held on Saturday evening the Secretary reported having secured the grounds of James Linton, Esq, at Terrace rind, to hold the annual New Year Spi>rts on, aud also that Mr Linton would allow the Sports Committee to plough a course and erect necessary buildings for competitors etc. A sub-committee was then appointed to mark out a course and have it ploughed and otherwise improved and report to a committee meeting to be held on Saturday evening next, the 9th inst, at. 8 p.m.
