It is really to be hoped that the Directors of the West Coast Railway Co.. Tind the pcoplo of Palmerston also, will not rest on their oar-s rogardiv.g the construction of the railway from Palmerston towards Wo dville. That line is the necessary complement of the West Coawt scheme, and without it the lati-or will bo destitute of one of its chief feeders. Still it is loft m aoeyam-o, and apparently no steps are taken to enforce its claims upon the House. Parliament will be meeting :v^ain m a few mouths, and before then we hope to see steps taken either by public meeting, deputation, or m some other way, to force the matter on the attention of our member iv i he Srst place, and through him on tiio j House of liepreseutatives.
