The Oroua Lodge of Druids No. o lieid their quarterly summoned meeting last night, A.l). Bro. A. G. Lyall presiding over a good attendance or members. Seven candidates were proposed for membership, and. two members who have left tlie district granted clearances. , ,Th syllabus committee presontcu their report, which was adopted, and it was decided to commence operations at the second meeting m with "A Growlers' Night," which will give some of the members who do not attend Lodge a chance .of coming along and airing their grievances. The nomination of officers for the ensuing six months was taken, the following members being nominated: A. D., Bro. Hnrriman; Vice Arch, Bros. "SV. Cutler, G. Marshall, E. Fid](>r YT Passmore, E. Hampton; Secretary, Bro. C. S. Rush; Treasurer, P.A." Bro. Thos. E. Mitchcll; A.iJ. Bards, Bros. C. McCarthy, Robb, P. Cobb, A. Comerford; "Vice Arch Bards, Bros. W. Robb, W. H. Cox J. Olsen, H. J. Freeman, C. McCarthy, R. Kilpatrick, A. Comerford ; Minute Secretary, P. A. Bro. J. Fllis; Inside Guardian, Bros. W. Cobb, C. McCarthy, G. Marshall. P. Cobb, C. Passmore, D. McDowali, A. Rush, E. Fidler; Outside Guardian, P.A. Bro. F. Pycroft ; Auditor, Bro. M. Robson ; Entertainment Committee, Bros. J. Olsen. A. Crook, jnnr., W. H. Cox, C. J. Pago, E. Graham. The election, which promises to be keen, will take place next Lodge night, and the installation the following Lodge night. Eleven nominations were received, for the ritual competition for Bro. Jack's gold medal. It was decided to pick the team to represent the Lodge in the interlodge card tournament against the Orient Lodge', at the Foresters' Hall, on Thursday, June 2nd, on Saturday night, and publish the names on Monday. The social committee have made arrangements to hold their next dance on Wednesday next, and invitation holders are requested to watch the "Standard" for particulars. Several other matters in connection with the welfare of the lodge were discussed. The quarterly accounts were passed i'or payment, and the meeting closed.
At the conclusion of the meeting the final round of the euchre tourney for Mr Roberts' collar was played, Bro. D. McDowali being declared the winner with 17 games, Bro. Cutler runner-up with 14 games.
