The results of the business for the Forty- first Year, ending 31st December, 1889, may be summarised as under : — Fiust— The number of the New Policies issued was i1,6G4. Sf.cond — The new Assurance business ef- fected was for d 53,679,4:59. Third — The New Annual Premium Income amounted to 33121,800. Fourth — The net increase to the business, after allowing for loss of income from terminated Policies, was represented by 7028 Policies, assuring £2,> 109,199 Fifth— The operations of the year raised the annual income of the Society from " £1,512,230 to £1,625,- --185, an increase in twelve months of £12.2,905.
