The Prime Minister yesterday received a cablegram informing him that the King of the Belgians had been pleased to confer upon him the decoration of Grand Officer de I'Ordre de la Coiironne de ■ Belgique, "in recognition of the help rendered to-Belgium'in time of war.". . Our Cliristchurcii correspondent; telegraphs: The marriage of Miss Ivy Kathleen Burnett, second daughter of Mr M. F. 'Bamett, of Christochurch, to Mr John .Claud© Mills, of Blenheim, eldest son o|f Mrs Mills,, of Palmerston South, was celebrated at, St. Mary's Catholic: Church, Manchester Street, yesterday. The ceremony was performed by Dean Kegnault. The brids, who was given away by her father, was charmingly gowned*in shell pink georgette veiled: in Brussels lace, and wore a. shell pink tulle veil, wreathed with tiny pink flowers. The • bridesmaid, Miss Kate Barnettv, wore a. pretty frock oi: accordeon pleated grey georgette a lid ta.ffetas and a. grey picture hat, and was follojwed by two little children —niece and nephew of the bride. The best man was Mr B. Mills, brother of the bridegroom. . The bouquets and florai decorations were carried out in pale pink. After the ceremony a reception was held at tho residence of 'Ma- and Mrs M. P. Burnett, a large gathering of gi\,ests being present. Mv "Mat" Barnctt, father of tho bride, is one of the best knoiwn men in Cliristchurch, and1 his name is a household word in bowling circles throughout f the Dominion. ' .
