Tiro-president of the Divorce Court granted an application for the suit of "Knight-Bruce v. Knight^Bruce and^ Pilcher" to stand out of the list until next term. The petitioner i^ Major Knight-Bruce, and the ©o-i©-spondent was stated by counsel to beGeneral Pilcher, at present on service in 1 Madras, India. It was statecF that General Pilcher could not arrivein England in time to defend the case, which is to be tried during thepresent sittings. General Pilcher, who is A.D.C. to the King ancf. Brigade Commander in India, was born in 1858. For his services in command of the expedition to Lapai ami Argeyah he was mentioned in despatches, promoted, and received thethanks oi the Government. In theBoer War he commanded a mounted; column, and was again mentioned i» despatches.
