DUNEDIN PRODUCE MARKET.
Messrs Donald Reid and Co. report on the above for the week ending 17th inst., as follows : — Oats —We submitted medium quality, whioh were not in strong request. Prime feed sparrowbills sold up to 2s Id per bushel (sacks extra). We quote : Prime milling and seed lines, 2s Id to 2s 4d ; good to best feed, 2s to 2s Id ; medium, Is lOd to Is lid per bushel (sacks extra). Wheat — We sold good whole wheat up to 3s 5d per bushel. The demand for this class is good, but broken samples are not in re-quest. Potatoes — Prime Northern Derwents meet a fair demand at quotations ; Southern Derwents, more plentiful, and values a shade weaker. We quote : Best Northern Derwents, £3 to £3 2s 6d; best Southorn do., £2 15s to £3 ; medium, £2 10s to £2 12s 6d per ton (bags in). Chaff — Market glutted with inferior and medium quality, whioh is difficult Jo quit even at a reduction on late values. Prime quality continues in good demand. We quote : Best oaten sheaf, £3 to £3 7s 6d ; medium, £2 10s to £2 15s ; inferior, £1 10s to £2 per ton (bags extra).
