DISTRICT STOCK SALES.
The Farmers' Agency Company (Limited) report : —
We held our usual foitnigltly ssle on Tuesday, 4th inst. Aboat 4000 sheep were yarded, consisting principally of ewes io limb and store wethers. Good crosabreds of both sexes were in fair demand, but prices were scarcely equal to previous sale. We jarded and sold 1100 as follows :—Bixtyei^ht lambs at 103 3d, 250 lambs at 7a 6-3, 135 lambs 7s, ICO lambs 9s 6:1, 167 lambs 93 6d, 210 f.m. ewes Bs, 335 lambs 7a 6d, 50 lambs 6 j . Cattle : Only a few head yerdei, an i anything like beef was eagerly sought after. We sold fat owa up to L 5.

Gore Sale. — Another mo^e-flte entry of stock cams forward for the usual fortnightly sale at the Corporation yards, held on Tuesia/, 4;h inst, About 5000 sheep sltogeiher were yarded, all classes being represented, although aged and inferior sorts were again conspicuous by their absence. A fair demand was expeiienced, bat prices oil round were lower tban was tbe rase afort* night ago. Crossbred lambs, which formed a large proportion of the entry, were per* haps least affected, good sorts selling from 9s 6d to 10s Id, others Si to 8s 3d. Wethers suitable for turnip feeding were agaio in less rrquest, and va'ues in all cases showed a downward tendency. Two, faur and six* tioth ciossbred wethers sold from 13i6i to 14s 4J, small de lls to 12a 3), full-mouthed crossbred ewes in lamb 83 to 10s 3d.
