Ironworkers. KEIB & GRAY. The Hew Zeakder Twino Eiader. IN asking our friends io buy from New Zea- land makers, we would point out a few of the benefits which wbuld accrue through to doing.' Duplicates would be easier got and , generally cheaper ; and from the facilities at our disposal — vjz. , our branches in different parta of • New Zealand — we can supply any parts of. machines from any of these branches at an hour's notice ; other makers may,and do claim^to be able to do this, but farmers find to their cost, and our experience bears them out, that it cannot be done with imported tnaehines. We have known of cases where faimers with a broken down Imported Binder have had to .wait a week during the busiest part i-l harvest time before they got supplied. Had such been a .machine of our make, it would have been at work within a few hours. All^parts of machines are numbered and accur- ately duplicated, and we challenge comparison with the best imported in that respect ; ahd while asking farmers to purchase our Binder, we may state that it is now generally recog- nised that our machine is at least as good as the best imported, and much superior to many of them in every requisite of a serviceable Bin- der. We append a fewof the many Testimonials received for our Binder ; but the best Testi- monial is the fact that last year no less than ,43 were sold in one district alone. Centre Bush, March 27, 1886. The Reaper and Binder l»purchaied from you this season has given me entire satisfac- tion. I cut and tied 140 acres in 11 days, and made a really good job. She tied well and left a good clean stubble, although some of the crop was very light, and other parts of it were good . I consider your Bin.der quite equal to any of the imported machines, and much lighter qf draught titan some that were working in tlie same paddock with me. I several times worked the same team of three horses the whole day, although I had a spare team beside, me. I had no stoppage from timeof starting till I finished, and 1 am thoroughly satisfied tbat I have a really good and serviceable machine, and one that will last me a. good, many sea- sons. , Alexander Shand. Wairuna, Clinton, October 17, 1887. The twine Binder I bought from you last harvest is all I could desire. , I cut. .250 acres of crop with her, and hot the least thing went wrong ; site is easily pulled, and for going: on sidelingß I bave seen nothing to equal her. She is just aa ready to start work now as when I got her. You can make use of- this in any way you please. John Moffatt, Otama, Gore, October 8, 1887. We are pleased to state the Binder we pur- chased from you Jast season gave every satis- faction. On sidelings we consider she is prefer- able to any other make in the market, as far as our experience goes, we having worked some of the principal makers' machines. We cut over 300 acres "and had no breakages, and never had any stoppages through anything going wrong. Walker Brothers. Waimate, October 8, 1887. The Beaper and Binder I purchased from you last year I worked on my farm at Haka- teramea, and after your man started it, I put a lad working it, wlto never drove a Reaper and Binder before. lam pleased to state he woiked it tbe whole season, cutting about 250 acres of crops without any viisltap or stoppage. The sheaves it makes and manner in which it ties them is most satisfactory, I found it very easy on the horses, although where it cut was chiefly " downs " ; on level land it is simply a pleasure to see it working. Ai/phetjs Hates. Uxbridge, Oclcber 16, 1887. In regard to the Reaper and Binder that we bought from you last year, we can only say that it gave every satisf actio;.', and did its work in a most thorough manner. We have had three of your Binders working in oui place, and tbey -all went splendidly, and it is a rarity to see a Binder tie the sheaves as well as they did. We cut over 300 acres in 12 working days with two machines. Hall Bbothbbs, THE GORE COACH & CARRIAGE FACTORY AND GENERAL SHOEING FORGE, Irwell street, Near the Club Hotel.
