LATE E. C. MCDERMOTT

CHRISTCHURCH, November 9. Sportsmen from all parts of New Zealand were among a great number of mourners who attended the funeral this morning of Eugene Clement McDermott, Spreydon.
Mr. McDermott, well known for many years as a stock buyer and one of the most popular trotting drivers, died soon after collapsing in the race for the New Zealand Trotting Club at Addington .on Tuesday. Ori his coffin were his whip aLd racing colours, violet with cerise sleeves, -sash, and cap.
