HATAITAI AFFAIRS
The incidence of rating taxation was discussed at a meeting of the executive of the Hataitai Municipal Electors' Association on Monday. Mr. G. P. Anderson presided. The discussion revealed the difficulty of evolving any new system. A suggestion for the in traduction of a licensing system in re spect of multiple unit dwellings was considered most likely to meet the position. It was decided that a committee comprising the president and Messrs. Anderson and Lezard should draw up a draft plan for submission to the Wellington City Council and that copies of it should be sent to kindred associations.
It was decided that a deputation com prising tht president, the secretary Mr. C', Boyer, and Messrs. Turnbull and Searle, should wait on the tramway committee of the City Council in sup port of representations for the earlier departure of the 6.46 tram from the Hataitai terminus on Sunday evenings and to renew representations for the diversion of one bus over Roseneath to the city and the taking in of the Te Anau Road loop.
