"PADDY THE WANDERER"
The president of the ladies' auxiliary of the S.P.C.A. writes, on bshalf of the auxiliary, expressing gratitude to the taximen and waterside workers, who were friends of "Paddy the' Wanderer," for their kindness to the dog.
The appeal for funds for a memorial to "Paddy" has resulted well. On the first day—yesterday—£6 9s had been received by the manager of Green Cabs, who has allowed his depot to be used as the collecting centre. He states that he has authorised Mr. C. Essex, a nightwatchman on the wharves, to canvass for subscriptions on the waterfront.
