TOSCANINI TO CONDUCT

(Received December 28, 10.30 a.m.) JERUSALEM, December 27. The famous conductor Arturo Toscanini has emerged from his retirement and has arrived to conduct the first performance by the Palestine Symphony Orchestra formed by the violinist Bronislaw Huberman .from refugee Jewish musicians from Germany and elsewhere in Europe. Huberman has carefully selected 70 instrumentalists between the ages of 28 and 30, and declares that the orchestra will become one of the best in the world. Its first tour will be of Palestine and Egypt, and the first performance will take place on December 30, with a broadcast to America.
