TWO NOTABLE GIFTS

LONDON, May 30.

The Duke of York, in his address at the opening of the new Middlesex Hospital, announced two gifts of £50,000 each—one from Mr. E. Meyerstein, retired stockbroker, who has given £250,000 to the hospital in eighteen months, and the other from a London business man, Mr. W. H. Collins, who previously has given the hospifSi £25,000.
