[Jumes Orrock, R.1.. 1.P.0., M. R C.S . artist, essayist, connoisseur, and expeit. was horn in Edinburgh and educated at Irvine (Ayrshire) and Edinburjtl. University. He wob a medallist nt the Edinburgh Medical School^ and a medallist at tlie Nottingham School t,f Art. His publications include : Ers*a;s-B on Turner. Mullet', Vox, Barret. Unlit, nnd Conßtabln ; Emays on the English AH, True Ait, The English Watercolour Art. and Light and Water-colour. To the South Kensington Museum md Glasgow Ctnporatioti he presented itiv porlan* pictures.
