BIG EXPLOSION AT HAVRE By TeleeraDh—Press Association—Copyright London, December 13. An explosion destroyed the Belgian Government's munition factory at Havre. One hundred and ten persons were killed and 1000 wounded. WORKMEN BLOWN TO ATOMS. (Rec. December 14, 7.30 p.m.) Havre, December 13. The munitions' factory was two miles outside tho town. The explosion occurred at 10 o'clock on Saturday morning, and the factory was in fuil swing at the time. _ The explosion occurred in an excavation one hundred feet deop, and . 150 workmen, mostly Belgians, were blown to atoms, while the building arid the hutments adjoining are now a heap of ruins. The cause is unknown. PANIC IN THE SCHOOLS. (Rec. December 15, 1.15 a.m.)' Paris, December 14. The effects of the Havre explosion wore felt at a distance of thirty miles. The schools were thrown into a panic, and children were crushed to death. The Belgian Stato powder works were partly destroyed, and other works were severely damaged.
