S. begs to intimate to the inhabit- ants of the district, and the public gene- rally, that he has now completed exten- sive improvements both in the Mine itself, and in the machinery, including new shaft and all the necessary appliances for the ready delivery of Coal in large or small quantities. The Machinery has been specially erected with a view to meet the require- ments of the largest order on the most advantageous terms. The quality of the Coal is well known to be the best, both for household pur- poses and for generating steam, while its very reasonable price should recommend it to every consumer. New screens have now been fitted up with all the latest improvements, so that the public may depend on getting the best quality of coal free from the slack and dross which usually composes such a large percentage of the coal of this coun- try.
