"Nicholas drive" and "Ferriman avenue" have been chosen as the names for the new streets at the soldiers' settlement at Sandilands. The Christchurch Returned Soldiers' Association asked the permission of the Christchurch City Council to name the streets in this way, and the council gave its permission last night on the recommendation of its by-laws committee. Nicholas drive will apply to the main entrance and the roads enclosing the administrative block, and Ferriman avenue will be the street leading off Rudd's road.
