OBITUARY.
DR. H. DE RENZI. News has been received of the death in London of Dr. Henry Do Renzi, who was in practioo for some time in Christchurch and afterwards removed to "Wellington, where he praotised for several years. Some two years ago his health, which had never been good, completely broke down, and ho went to England to consult specialists. He leaves a widow and one daughter. MR G. H. MoHAFFIE. The nows of the death of Mr G. H. MoHaffie. which took place yesterday, will be learned with regret. Mr MoHaffie, who was born in Ayrshire, was educated at Portobello, and originally camo out to Australia. He arrived in Lyuelton in 1880. Mr McHaffie took a very active part in the work of local bodies. Ho became a member of -the Selwyn County Council in 1901, and was also on the Hospital Board as a representative of that body. He was a member of the Heathcote Road Board for some time, and was chairman for several years. He was also a member at one time of the Christchurch Domain Board. He took a considerable interest in sport, particularly in trotting, and was president of the Metropolitan Trotting Club. Hisi efforts were always in the direction ot improving the sport, and he worked hard and consistently in this direction. Mr MoHaffie had been in delicate health for some little time past, and died at 3 yesterday. v
Mr Daniel Pago, a thirty years' resident of Gisborne, died yesterday. Dr. John Wilkins, formerly of Dunedin and Christohurch, has just died at Auckland, aged 74 years.
