LINWOOD.
The Linwood Borough Council held a special meeting last evening, his Worship the Mayor presiding, for the purpose of considering the following report by the Works Committee :—That the Council approve of the dedication to the public of the new streets formed by Mr John Connal in R.S. 347, and that the proposed names of such streets (Marlborough, Wellington, dive, and Havelock) be approved. The report was adopted and the Mayor and Town Clerk were appointed to sign the necessary papers. .
