WANTED A SCHOLAR.
We have read a fomewhat facetious article in (Tie columns of a contemporary upon the late Session of (he Provincial Council. We co not object to ridicule; we like it; especially when it is well done; but awrieerwho ridicules should be very careful not to make himself ridiculous in doing so; and cspeciallyhe should beware of doing this by the mis-use of classical phrases. - We are sorry to spoil the beautiful passage beginning with " Answer with indignatiou," and ending with " Jupiter have mercy on his brain," but the exnreßsion *« to stop in medins res" if written at the college by one of those ** schoolboy* with the haziest notion of form and style" would probably have procured for the writer a sound caning. Perhaps our contemporary could hire a scholar—even a Soamcs scholar would be better than nwthing. -
