LIBERAL VICTORIES. CREEPING UP. UNIONIST MAJORITY. DOWN TO TWENTY-TWO. (By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright) (Received 11.15 a.m.) LONDON, January 25. The returns coming in to-day show that the Liberals arc making a hard fight, and are gaining ground as the Northern and Welsh polls are decided. The Unionist majority is now reduced to 22, and there are still 134 seats to be decided. Of this number the sitting members are Liberals in nearly 100 instances. The present state of the parties is as under: Unionists 228 Liberals 206 Nationalists 68 Labour 34 Total elected 536 Seats in tlie House 670 Yet to be elected 134 The latest returns are: — BASSELTAW. — Williams (Unionist) 5631 F.
