Yet another romance connecting the stage and peerage was chronicled on Thursday, November 12, in London, when the Hon. Maurice Kelson Hood, son of Viscoun' Bridport, was married at a West End church to Miss Ethel Kendall, professionally known as Miss Eileen Orme. -" The' bride is a cousin of Miss Denise Orcne, the actress who made a success in "The Little Michus" at Daly's Theatre, and who is bow the Hon. Mrs John Yarde Buller. Mrs Nelson Hood herself acted in "The Little Michus," and more recently in "The Merry Widow," but It is doubtful whether the stage will see her again. The wedding had been kept secret, and only a few theatrical friends of the bride were present Attired in a white cloth walking costume of Directoire design, with, a large black "Merry Widow" hat, "Miss Orme," a pretty girl only- eighteen year* of age, made the responses in a clear voice. The taagfegroom, who Is ten years older than the bride, is a lieutenant in the Royal Naval Reserve. His best man was Lieut. E. Faweett, 8.M.L.1. "Miss Denise Orme" was present with her husband, Capt YardeBuller, and signed the register as a witness in the name of Jessie Yarderßuller. The Hon. Mr and Mrs Nelson Hood afterwards left the church in a motor car, and drove to the Carlton Hotei, where the wedding luncheon was served. lord Bridport, the bridegroom's father, is the second viscount, .end sixty-eight years of age.
