The game, which was notable for the absence of brilliant play, resulted in a win for Wairarapa by 12 points to 3. Bush were on the defensive throughout the game, except in the last 20 minutes, when they ran over Wairarapa and scored a try. For Wairarapa Henderson and Brenchley scored tries, the rest of the score being two goals. Bush scored a try.
