In harbour on the Ist August:—Ship La Rochelle, 1000 tons, from Hamburg ; barque Wandrahm, 700 tons, from Hamburg, loading withcobra ; schooner Orion, 25 tons, from Tonga. On 3rd August —Arrived brig Susanne, from Line Island, with 120 head of labour, and full load of cobra.
On 9th—Arrived ketch Matautau, from Pango Pango, with load of cobra and sundries.
On 12th —Arrived schooner Dauntless, from Auckland, with general cargo.
On the 10th —Airived cutter Forth, from Rorotonga. On 13th —Arrived brig Leonora, from Line Island. > This vessel is owned by Bully Hayes. He brought a full load of cobra and cocoanut oil.
On the 17th —Arrived the U.S. schooner Fanny, from San Francisco, bringing Colonel Steinbeyer, as commissioner from the American Government.
On 19th—Sailed, Dauntless, for Falealili (Pango Pango), Manna, to load cargo for Auckland.
On 20th—Upolo, schooner, from Sydney, with general cargo. Same day the barque San Francisco, 700 tons, sailed for Hamburg with a full load of cobra. '
On 21th —Arrived, Kohunah, barque, from Sydney; and John Williams, Missionary barque, from a cruise. On 22nd —Sailed, ship La Rochelle, for Marshall Group, in ballast; and John Williams, for Pango Pango. On 24th—Barque Wandrahen sailed for Hamburg with a full load of cobra. On 25th—Brig Susanna sails for Kingsmill Group in ballast. On the 26th ultimo the following -vessels were in harbour:—Rotumah, barque; Leonora, brig; Orion, schooner; Apia, schooner; Upolo, schooner.
