OBITUARY.
MR. A' H. HINDMIARSH, M.P.

WELLINGTON, Nov. 13. Mr A. H." Hindmarsh, M.P. for Wellington. South, died this morning of pneumonia, supervening on influenza. In the House this afternoon the Prime Minister moved a motion of sympathy with the relatives of the late Mr liihidmarsh. The motion was supported by bir Joseph Ward, Di\ Newman, Messrs Luke, McCombs, Anderson, Stewart, Holland, Field (Nelson), Fraser, and iWright,' all of whom stressed the intense honesty raid patriotism of the deceased member. The -House adjourned until Tuesday ac a mark of respect to the memory of Mr Hindmarsh and Mr A. W. Rutherford, a former member of the House. The- sudden death of Mr Hindmarsh, leader of the Parliamentary Labour group, came as a shock to the House. Mr Hindmarsh took part in the early work of the session, and until \fchis morning it was not known that his attack of influenza had taken a serious turn.
